Journey with me back to a simpler time. Parkhills Baptist Church wasn’t always the bustling hub it is today. Its story began with a simple mission: “Connecting everyday people to Jesus in every way!” Parkhills Baptist Church aimed to be more than just a building. It wanted to be a beacon of faith, a place where lives could be transformed. The church leaders envisioned a community grounded in core values. These values included basing everything on the Bible (Truth). They emphasized building Jesus-centered relationships (Community), and maturing in the likeness of Christ (Growth). They also focused on introducing the world to Jesus (Hope) and honoring God in every area of life (Devotion). Today, Parkhills Baptist Church thrives with two Sunday services. The first service starts at 9:00 am, followed by Connection Groups at 10:15 am. The second service begins at 11:30 am. But Parkhills Baptist Church’s mission extends beyond Sunday services. The church is also home to Parkhills Preschool. This weekday ministry caters to children aged six months through pre-kindergarten. Classes run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, September through May. The preschool’s curriculum aims to nurture children’s growth “in wisdom and stature, in favor with God and man,” just like Jesus. Through various activities, children prepare for kindergarten, learn about community helpers, and even participate in a Fiesta parade and rodeo. The church’s location at 17747 San Pedro Avenue in San Antonio makes it easily accessible.
