In 1999, a unique educational philosophy took root in San Diego. The San Diego University for Integrative Studies, or SDUIS, opened its doors. Incessant Studies, an art gallery showcasing student work, became a window into this philosophy. SDUIS was founded on the idea of “Integrative Studies”. This approach recognized the connection between mind, body, and spirit. It aimed to create a learning experience that was relevant to social, cultural, and environmental realities. Incessant Studies, the gallery, offered a tangible representation of these connections.
Incessant Studies became a dynamic space where students could share their artistic interpretations of integrative thinking. SDUIS had a diverse student body, with over 53 ethnicities represented.
