Looming over the sacred Kaaba, Jabal al Quways is no stranger to whispers of ancient tales and echoes of profound events. This mountain, known as ‘al-Amin’ – ‘the trustworthy’ or ‘the safekeeper’ – has stood sentinel throughout history, witnessing pivotal moments that shaped the spiritual landscape. Imagine the weight of ages as you learn that Jabal al Quways is believed to have safeguarded the Black Stone, the Hajar al-Aswad, during the devastating flood that consumed the world during the time of Prophet Nuh. Picture Prophet Ibrahim, guided to this very mountain to retrieve the sacred stone, a beacon from Paradise, placing it reverently within the newly rebuilt Kaaba.
