“Looking for an exciting way to learn Python HTML CSS Javascript and more?” That’s what they ask at the Clinton Hill Library. It is more than just books.
Clinton Hill Library was built in 1973. It aimed to meet the needs of a vibrant community. The library is a single-story building. It sits in a leafy, landmarked neighborhood. Brownstones, schools, and daycare facilities surround it. Nearby, you could stroll through Underwood and Greene Avenue parks in any season. Pratt Institute is also within walking distance.
The Clinton Hill Library is a vital community hub. Children’s programs are very popular here. Babies & Books and Toddler Time draw big crowds. Sometimes 50 to 60 people attend. Special events like live music can attract 150 people. Teens and tweens often fill the branch in the afternoons. Many come to play Yu-gi-oh.
Adult programs are also popular at the Clinton Hill Library. You can find resume writing classes here. There are also yoga, dance fitness, and loom knitting classes. From April to November, the Clinton Hill Library gets many weekend visitors. These are often tourists and Brooklyn Flea browsers.
The Friends of Clinton Hill Library are active. They raise funds for children’s programs. They even hoped to install planters for gardening programs in 2016.
Did you know adult fiction and nonfiction are popular here? Short stories and biographies get checked out a lot. Children’s fiction, nonfiction, and picture books are big too. Young adult graphic novels are also popular.

Also, the Clinton Hill Library offers Girls Who Code. Girls and nonbinary youth ages 12 plus can participate. They can learn Python, HTML, CSS, and Javascript. They can also meet fellow coders. The library provides some laptops. But bring your own if you can.
