Picture this Ridgewood Residence Hall C in Waltham Massachusetts. Built in 2009 this impressive structure isn’t just a dorm. It’s a gateway to Brandeis University. It’s a modern apartment-style haven for juniors and seniors. Ridgewood offers approximately 180 students a unique living experience.

Ridgewood is more than bricks and mortar. It’s a community. Three Community Advisors CAs work tirelessly. They foster a supportive environment. They organize events and address student concerns. They truly make Ridgewood a home. A live-in Area Coordinator AC oversees everything. The AC also manages other residence halls. The AC holds regular office hours.

The building’s design is innovative. Mostly four-person apartments exist. Some six-person apartments are located in Ridgewood B. Every bedroom is a single. All apartments are gender-neutral. Each apartment boasts a private bathroom kitchen and a common area. Modern kitchens are fully equipped. Stoves ovens dishwashers refrigerators and microwaves are all included. Comfortable common areas feature bar stools chairs and love seats. Six-person apartments offer extra seating.

A highlight is Ridgewood Commons. This large open space is located on the lower floor of Ridgewood A. It features a kitchen a large-screen TV and a high-tech audio-visual system. It’s a perfect spot for socializing and studying. Ridgewood Commons is available for reservation by student groups. The whole building benefits from central air conditioning.
