The first congregation in San Diego County was established in National City in 1970. Since then, the Church has rapidly expanded. It maintains 7,000 congregations globally. Eight local congregations now exist throughout the San Diego region.
Assembly member David A. Alvarez recognized the Church’s impact. He noted it provides comfort, healing, fellowship, and peace. Mayor Alejandra Sotelo-Solis echoed these sentiments. She appreciated over 100 years of service.
