The legacy of this church speaks volumes. Before you stands Conquerors Assembly Church, a cornerstone of faith in San Antonio. It wasn’t always called Conquerors though; this grand edifice bears the echoes of a much longer narrative. A journey that began with Elder F.C.V. Ford holding street meetings on East Commerce and Chestnut Street in 1913. The church was originally called Lincoln Park Church of Christ. You see, before this magnificent building was erected, the church was mobile. It traveled through the hearts and homes of its members, finding respite in different locations until it finally found a home on 817 Iowa Street. The church was built on a foundation of steadfast faith, the same faith that propelled the membership to grow to over three hundred souls. After multiple periods of growth and renewal, this grand structure rose on its present site, carrying the weight of an enduring faith. Conquerors Assembly Church tells a story of resilience, transition, and most importantly, the unwavering spirit of faith.
