Scouting began in the UK in 1908. Shortly after, four Scout patrols formed in Brisbane. The Toowong patrol was one of these. It was attached to St Thomas’s Church. The Milton patrol formed a year later. There is evidence that Taringa patrol formed soon after.
Wolf Cubs started in 1918. Milton was among the first troops in Brisbane to start a Wolf Cub Pack in 1919. Rover Scouts came into existence in the UK in 1918. The first Rover Crew registered in Queensland in 1923 was the Milton Rover Crew.
In 1986, the Milton and Toowong Groups joined. They became the Milton-Toowong Scout Group. The Taringa Group joined in 1993. This formed the TMT Scout Group. They are still active today.
