Standing proudly at the corner of Ashmole Road and Yalumba Street, this is the Redcliffe Church of Christ. An unassuming building, it’s just a brick structure, but its story is one of hope and faith. It wasn’t always here. Originally established in 1981, this gathering place for the community has a relatively recent history, but one that is important to those who call it their spiritual home. The congregation’s name, Church of Christ, may sound familiar. This group of affiliated churches across Queensland are dedicated to sharing their faith, guided by the teachings of the New Testament. Even though they don’t have a formal creed, they believe in the core values that Jesus taught, including the importance of baptism for believers and observing the Lord’s Supper every week. This church is where the community comes together to celebrate their faith. It is more than just a building; it is a symbol of hope in this part of Brisbane.
