A unique structure unlike any other in the Givat Ram area, the Belgium House, is immediately noticeable. The building, completed in 1967, was inspired by two historical elements found on this site. One was a round water hole, which served the University for water supply. It was built over to become the university restaurant. Built according to the traditional Jerusalem buildings, it has narrow windows and an air of the Jerusalem wall. The second element is a big old tree located in the center which the building was built around, a testament to its history.
