Established in 1953 amidst the resistance against French colonialism, the Học viện Chính trị Khu vực I stands as a testament to Vietnam’s enduring spirit. The academy initially trained district-level officials, equipping them for the challenges of war and nation-building. Today, the Học viện Chính trị Khu vực I, located at 15 Khuất Duy Tiến, Thanh Xuân, Hanoi, has evolved into a prominent training center. It nurtures leaders and management officials for the Party, State, and socio-political organizations across the northern localities. It also serves central agencies and sectors under the guidance of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. The Học viện Chính trị Khu vực I offers a diverse range of programs. A five-year concentrated training course provides higher education to students from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, focusing on politics, organization, and inspection. For postgraduate studies, a 24-month non-concentrated program delves into economic management, Party history, and philosophy. Within the walls of the Học viện Chính trị Khu vực I, a wealth of knowledge awaits. Its library houses approximately 8,000 book titles, 200,000 documents, and over 300 newspapers and magazines. The library serves over 200 readers daily. The Học viện Chính trị Khu vực I has been recognized for its contributions, receiving the Second-class Independence Order, First-class Independence Order, and the prestigious Ho Chi Minh Order.
