Driven by a vision, West Houston Christian Center began humbly. It started in a living room. Can you imagine? Sixteen people gathered here in 1989.
West Houston Christian Center’s story is one of faith. It shows growth and commitment. Pastors Jack and Mary Jean Pidgeon founded this church. They followed a divine calling. God spoke to Pastor Jack. The message was clear. “Launch out into the deep.”
The early days saw services overflowing. People spilled from the living room. They filled the dining room. West Houston Christian Center was clearly outgrowing its humble beginnings.
In 1999, a new chapter began. West Houston Christian Center built its current facility. This space seats 700. Amazingly, it was built debt-free. This stands as a testament to the church’s faith and dedication.
West Houston Christian Center is a Word of Faith church. It is also non-denominational and spirit-filled. The church embraces diversity. Its congregation reflects this.
When you attend a service, expect contemporary praise. Worship is vibrant here. It is an integral part of every service.
West Houston Christian Center operates with a clear mission. This mission is based on Ephesians 4:12-13. The church seeks to engage the lost. It wants to establish people in faith. Equipping them to serve is another goal. Finally, it aims to empower people to go forth. They should go into the world.
Here at West Houston Christian Center, Sunday School starts at 9:00 am. The Sunday service follows at 10:30 am. Wednesday services are at 7 pm. Currently, these are online only.
