Nicolae Titulescu was no ordinary man. He was a lawyer professor and politician. He served multiple times as Romania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. He even rose to the presidency of the League of Nations twice. Think of the prestige the power the influence.

Born in 1882 Titulescu’s early life was steeped in Craiova’s rich history. He studied law in Paris excelling to win the Ernest Beaumont Prize. His doctoral thesis explored the theory of contingent rights a topic far beyond the average politician’s understanding. This early intellectual rigor shaped his diplomatic career.

But Titulescu’s unwavering dedication to peace didn’t come without cost. In 1936 King Carol II bowing to pressure removed him from power forcing him into exile.
