“Lost, are we?” a gentle voice chuckled. A kind face peered down at me from the steps of Masjid Al Ikhlas Sangrila. “Seeking solace perhaps? This is a good place to find it.” I smiled sheepishly, momentarily disoriented, and admitted I was indeed a bit lost. The mosque, Masjid Al Ikhlas Sangrila, seemed to radiate a quiet peace. It was a welcome refuge from the bustling streets I’d been navigating. The mosque’s location is a bit tucked away, in the Tanjung Pinggir area of Sekupang, Batam City. My new friend, a regular worshipper at Masjid Al Ikhlas Sangrila, pointed out its simple elegance. It’s not a grand, ornate structure. Instead, Masjid Al Ikhlas Sangrila focuses on function and serenity. He then invited me to sit with him on the steps and enjoy the afternoon call to prayer. I found myself captivated by the melodic chants echoing from Masjid Al Ikhlas Sangrila. As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the mosque, I felt a profound sense of calm wash over me. I realized that even being lost can lead you to unexpected discoveries and moments of tranquility. Masjid Al Ikhlas Sangrila, a haven of peace.
