In the early 2000s, the Wesleyan Church faced a choice: breathe life back into a vacant building or relinquish its hold. The building, once home to Grace Wesleyan, had stood empty for about a decade. Then fate stepped in. Pastor Bob Ellis and his wife, Arlynn, received an unexpected call. They were invited to leave their work in Alabama and ignite a new spiritual fire in San Antonio. Accepting this leap of faith, they arrived ready to understand the community and nurture a congregation from the ground up. Crossroads Church was more than just a building. It was a testament to the power of faith and a vision. The dream was to create a bilingual congregation, a testament to San Antonio’s rich cultural tapestry. And Crossroads Church didn’t stop there.
