A legacy forged in art. That’s what the CESAP ESAP Campus represents. Established in 1982 the CESAP the Cooperative of Higher Artistic Education of Porto laid the foundation. It’s a testament to the power of collaborative vision.
The CESAP ESAP Campus isn’t just a school. It’s a hub for creativity. Students explore architecture arts and design. Film theatre photography and communication design also flourish here. For almost four decades the ESAP thrived in Porto’s historic center. However its growth necessitated a move.
The new campus occupies a former industrial building. The transformation is remarkable. Now it boasts modern classrooms equipped labs and studios. This new space perfectly reflects the 21st-century demands of artistic education. The CESAP ESAP Campus is a UNESCO associate school. It holds numerous national and international partnerships. The Erasmus program is a key example of its global reach.
The campus design is itself a work of art. The architects cleverly integrated glass boxes promoting interaction between the interior and exterior. The glass walls create a bright spacious feel. This allows natural light to flood the building. It fosters a strong sense of community among students from different programs. Even the bathrooms are distinctive with unique concrete sinks. A long central corridor reminiscent of a vibrant street leads to a striking red curtain. Behind this curtain lies a hidden auditorium.
The CESAP ESAP Campus is not just a school. It is a dynamic institution looking towards the future. It’s a place where creativity and collaboration thrive. A beacon of artistic excellence in the heart of Porto. Its future expansion will connect the campus to surrounding streets. This reflects the school’s ongoing commitment to engage with the wider community.
