Nestled within the sprawling ODTÜ Teknokent campus, the Galyum Blok stands as a testament to Ankara’s burgeoning tech scene. The Galyum Blok isn’t just another office building. It’s a hive of innovation, a place where ideas spark and technology comes to life. ODTÜ Teknokent itself started its journey in 2000 with the Ikizler Block. Over the years, it expanded with structures like the Gümüş Blocks, Silikon Block, and of course, our very own Galyum Blok. By 2014, with the addition of the Turk Telekom R&D Building, the Teknokent boasted a remarkable 125,000 square meters of enclosed space. The Galyum Blok, completed in 2005, offers 14,000 square meters of office and research space. Imagine working in a space designed with both flexibility and architectural quality in mind. The Galyum Blok provides offices ranging from a cozy 70 square meters to a sprawling 1,600 square meters. It also serves as a passageway, connecting the Technopolis area to recreational zones. This clever design elevates the building, bridging the natural level difference of the site and creating a unique interior courtyard. This courtyard, nestled between two office prisms, is an open-air social hub. It extends into the building, creating a welcoming entrance hall. The main circulation of the Galyum Blok flows around this vibrant courtyard. While the exterior maintains a quiet presence, vertical openings in the facade allow controlled daylight to filter into the offices. The Galyum Blok is more than just bricks and mortar; it’s a symbol of Ankara’s technological aspirations. It is a place where the future is being shaped, one line of code at a time.
