Here at the Said Khoury Information Technology Center, part of Al-Quds University, that question finds a resounding “yes.” The Said Khoury Information Technology Center isn’t just a building filled with computers. It represents opportunity and empowerment in a region often marked by conflict. Inaugurated in 2004, the center is named after Palestinian entrepreneur Said Khoury. He co-founded the Consolidated Contractors Company and dedicated much of his life to philanthropic work in Palestine, including the establishment of this very center. The Said Khoury Information Technology Center focuses on providing high-quality training in information technology for students and professionals. It aims to equip Palestinians with the skills needed to participate in the global tech industry, creating opportunities for income generation and fostering a thriving IT sector in Palestine. The center also houses a software unit that develops tailor-made software for local and regional institutions. It provides resources for university professors to work on IT-related projects.
