Officer Fox was a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran who served two tours in Iraq. He joined the Plymouth Township Police Department in 2007. He later became a K9 officer with his partner, Nick, a Belgian Malinois. Tragically, on September 13, 2012, Officer Fox was shot and killed while pursuing a suspect. He was just one day shy of his 35th birthday. Officer Fox’s sacrifice serves as a stark reminder of the dangers faced by law enforcement officers every day. The plaque stands as a symbol of gratitude for his service and a place where people can come to pay their respects.
