Designed by architect Josef Paul Kleihues, this colossal structure once housed the maintenance and repair of Berlin’s sanitation fleet. The BSR Werkstatt’s design, a result of Kleihues’s winning competition entry in 1969, reflects a meticulous approach to functionality. Repeating elements and a rational layout speak to the efficiency that once pulsed within these walls.
