Initially, the congregation met on North Spring Street. By 1884, they moved. Their first dedicated building stood at Sixth and Fort Streets. Isaac Newton Van Nuys and James Boon Lankershim funded the construction.

In 1897, they built a second church. It was located at 727 South Flower Street. The renowned Dwight L. Moody attended its dedication. Later, in 1913, Billy Sunday preached here.
