Did the walls of Yao City Kamei Elementary School always echo with the laughter of children? We stand before Yao City Kamei Elementary School. It’s a place brimming with life now, but its story winds back to a quieter time, 1979. That year, Kamei Elementary branched off from Yao City Tatsuta Elementary School, becoming its own entity. Interestingly, a portion of Yao City Takegase Elementary School’s district was also incorporated into Kamei’s territory. Imagine the shuffling of school boundaries, the redrawing of maps. This wasn’t just a separation, it was a merging of communities. The school’s founding date is celebrated every November 5th, a day to remember its birth and growth. Fast forward to 2017, a new school building was erected, modernizing the learning environment for the students. Today, nearly 800 children, from first to sixth grade, fill these halls, divided into 31 classes. These students embody the school’s motto: “Think, Aim, Respect.” Think critically, aim high, and respect life. These simple words guide them, shaping their future, just as this school shapes the community around it. Listen closely.
