Deep in the heart of UC San Diego, a question echoes, “How’s Tenaya Hall?”. Tenaya Hall at UCSD isn’t just a dorm. Built sometime between 1975 and 1980, Tenaya Hall has witnessed generations of students navigate the exciting, and sometimes daunting, world of higher education. Robert Glasheen, a photographer who documented much of UCSD’s growth, captured Tenaya Hall in its relative youth. His photos, housed in the UC San Diego Library’s Special Collections & Archives, offer a glimpse into the hall’s past.
