Its story begins in 1116, a time when even Milan was finding its feet. Back then, it was known as Vileggio. The name Vellezzo Bellini came much later, a tribute to the Marquis Giovanni Battista Bellini who gained control of the town in 1742. However, the echoes of past rulers resonate within Vellezzo Bellini. The Pallavicino family, powerful figures who held sway over the nearby Giovenzano for centuries, left their mark.
