It earned this name in 2003, a tribute to that early Bavarian ruler. This isn’t just a place for history buffs though. The Vogelschutzbereich Lechstufe 23 sits on the Lech River, forming the 23rd and final stage of a series of dams. This makes it a haven for water enthusiasts.
