Slipping into O’Hara Hall feels like stepping into a small city. This five-level complex houses 560 upperclassmen, a bustling community within the larger Fordham University. O’Hara Hall isn’t just a dorm. It’s a network of 13 “neighborhoods,” each fostering its own unique atmosphere. The design cleverly balances academic and social needs. Think quiet study lounges for those late-night cram sessions, and vibrant community lounges for unwinding with friends. Did you know each community lounge has its own kitchenette, TV, and DVD player? Perfect for movie nights or whipping up a late-night snack. O’Hara Hall also boasts four seminar rooms, ideal for group projects or study sessions. For larger gatherings, O’Keefe Commons can accommodate up to 350 people. Imagine the events and activities that take place here, fostering a strong sense of community and citizenship. The rooms themselves range from singles to triples, with doubles being the most common. Interestingly, double and triple rooms have private bathrooms shared with an adjoining room, while single occupants share a bathroom with another single. Most rooms are around 12 x 20 feet, providing ample space for students to personalize their space.
