While its history may be more modern than some of the ancient structures gracing this city, the temple’s presence resonates deeply within the hearts of locals and visitors alike. Founded in 1960 by Pandit Radhey Lal Chaubey, the Siddeshwar Hanuman Temple was born from a humble vision. Legend tells of Pandit Ji, a resident of Jamwa Ramgarh, who, during a leisurely picnic, stumbled upon a rock bearing the image of Hanuman, the mighty monkey god. This chance encounter sparked a divine inspiration within him. He felt compelled to honor the discovery, marking the spot as sacred ground already revered centuries prior by Baba Nirmal Das, who offered his own prayers to Hanuman at this very location known as Narwar Das Ki Khol. What began as a modest tribute, a shrine barely encompassing 100 square feet, has, through unwavering devotion and the generosity of countless believers, blossomed into a sprawling complex encompassing 30 times its original size.
