Gi\u00e1o x\u1ee9 B\u00ecnh An H\u1ea1 is located in District 8. It is part of the Tổng Giáo phận Sài Gòn. More than 8000 members are assigned to eight different groups. These groups include 22 associations and eight choirs. They all actively participate in the Holy Masses.
Under the guidance of Đức Mẹ Maria the parish thrives. The parishioners of Gi\u00e1o x\u1ee9 B\u00ecnh An H\u1ea1 are known for their openness joy and hospitality. They work together to preserve traditions. They keep their principles strong.
The Giáo dân show their respect by helping build the church. Together they pray for the missionaries. They continue the mission. They lead the flock to God. Gi\u00e1o x\u1ee9 B\u00ecnh An H\u1ea1 was founded in 1955.
In late 1954 nearly 10000 Catholics from Phát Diệm migrated south. They settled in Bình Xuyên District 8 Saigon. They were led by Father Phaolô Hoàng Quỳnh. Initially they lived temporarily in Trần Đông Á warehouse. It was known as Bình Xuyên camp. Father Giuse Đoàn Phi Hùng was appointed camp leader.
As the number of Catholics increased Father Phaolô Hoàng Quỳnh divided the community. He established separate camps. On May 1 1955 Giáo xứ Bình An was officially founded. Đức Mẹ Mân Côi became the Patron Saint. Đức Giám mục Simon Hòa Nguyễn Văn Hiền appointed Father Phaolô Hoàng Quỳnh. He was the first parish priest and Hạt trưởng Hạt Bình An.
Gi\u00e1o x\u1ee9 B\u00ecnh An H\u1ea1 offers various Mass times to accommodate parishioners. You can check the updated schedule for daily and weekly Masses. On Sundays masses are held at 4:30 AM 6:00 AM 7:30 AM 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Weekday masses are at 4:30 AM 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM.
Gi\u00e1o x\u1ee9 B\u00ecnh An H\u1ea1 has a clear organizational structure. It ensures smooth operations. It best serves the spiritual life of the parishioners. Since its establishment Gi\u00e1o x\u1ee9 B\u00ecnh An H\u1ea1 has had a Parish Pastoral Council. It works with the priest to manage groups.
The Parish Pastoral Council includes a President Vice President Secretary Treasurer and Inspector. Its main task is to work with the parish priest. They manage the common affairs. The HĐMVGX meets every first Wednesday evening of the month. They review activities and finances. They also plan future activities.
Giáo xứ Bình An Hạ is divided into eight Giáo họ. Each Giáo họ has a management board including a Head Deputy and Secretary. Đại hội Giáo họ participants include officials and family representatives. The management board serves a four-year term. They coordinate activities and implement instructions.
Giáo xứ Bình An Hạ established groups and committees. They support pastoral work. They coordinate activities under the guidance of the Parish Priest. Currently there are 25 active groups.
In its early years worship continued despite difficulties. Initially parishioners used two warehouses. They served as places for Mass and worship. In 1956 the parish bought an old warehouse frame. They built the first church completing it in 1958. Đức Giám Mục Simon Hòa Nguyễn Văn Hiền presided over the inauguration.
In 1970 the old church deteriorated. The parish priest appealed for donations. They would build a new church. The project was completed on April 27 1972. Đức Tổng Giám Mục Phaolô Nguyễn Văn Bình presided over the inauguration.
On the occasion of the Parish Churchs 25th anniversary Father Luca Trần and parishioners renovated the church. On April 27 1997 Đức Cha Phaolô Maria Nguyễn Minh Nhật celebrated the anniversary.
In 2004 Father Giuse Trịnh Văn Viễn appealed for contributions. They would renovate the Church. They would build the Parish Hall. The ground floor was completed in June 2004. Nuns from Mến Thánh Giá Gò Vấp came to establish a community. Currently the Parish also has a Tu hội Tôi Tá Thánh Tâm Chúa Giêsu.
Giáo xứ Bình An Hạ has been built and renovated over the years. Today it stands as a symbol of faith. It is a testament to the communitys enduring commitment.
