Bishop Bryant had a vision. He felt called to start a ministry. One evening, while waiting for takeout, frustration washed over him. He had not found a building. That is when he heard the Lord say, “Look Up!”
At first, Bishop Bryant was confused. He was already trusting the Lord. But the voice insisted. He looked up and saw a “For Lease” sign. It was on the building he was leaning against. The owner was next door. A lease agreement was quickly made.
The building needed work. It once housed a group called “The Skinheads”. Bishop Bryant didn’t have much money. But he had a Word from the Lord. Coworkers from Ford Motor Company supported his vision. They gave him money to buy chairs, microphones, and curtains.
On October 1, 1995, Ambassadors For Christ Holiness Temple opened its doors. It was located on Joy Rd. Six people attended the first service. Bishop Bryant preached with passion. Within months, the church grew. Dozens joined the Ambassadors For Christ Holiness Temple family. There was joy on Joy Rd.
In 2001, the church relocated. It moved to its current home on Plymouth Road. The facility has been renovated five times since then. The latest renovation was in January 2023. It involved a new media center.
In September 2021, Bishop Bryant chose his successor. His grandson, Dr. Drevon Bryant, would become the next pastor. In November 2022, Bishop Bryant passed away.
On January 15, 2023, Dr. Drevon Bryant was installed as senior pastor. Under his leadership, the church has experienced renewed excitement. Greatness is on the horizon for Ambassadors For Christ Holiness Temple.
