It had been the condominiums and apartments of Lafayette Park East in the 1960s. In 1992, Crosswind Communities built Victoria Park Estates. It is a gated community on the Eastside. Victoria Park features 157 homes on 44 acres. It is located off Dickerson just south of East Jefferson and east of Conner Street.
Imagine the original homeowners purchasing city-owned lots for just one dollar apiece. Then they built colonial and cape cod-style homes. These houses feature decks, two-car attached garages, and cathedral ceilings. The neighborhood includes cul-de-sacs and curving streets. It also has an attended entrance gate.
