Later, under French rule, it became part of Biên Hòa province. Following 1975, Phường An Hòa became a xã within Long Thành district, Đồng Nai province. In 1987, part of An Hòa and Long Hưng xã were combined to form Hòa Hưng xã. Later, in 1994, Hòa Hưng xã was split, giving rise to the separate xã of An Hòa and Long Hưng. An Hòa transitioned from rural xã to urban ward in 2019, officially becoming Phường An Hòa. The spirit of Phường An Hòa thrives not just in its history, but in its vibrant cultural scene.
