Fresh Springs Ministries focuses on spreading the Good News. Its mission extends beyond New York City. It reaches university campuses and communities in Latin America. It also serves people in Europe and southern Asia. The ministry promotes unity among believers. They work together to advance God’s Kingdom.
The Bible is central to Fresh Springs Ministries. They believe it is the unchanging word of God. They see it as a powerful tool for transforming lives. Psalm 87:7 inspires them. Chris White is a key figure at Fresh Springs Ministries. He is a member of the Global Network of Evangelists. He has ministered in Colombia. His work was sponsored by CEDECOL. He has also worked in Cuba, the Czech Republic and Pakistan. Local churches supported him in these countries.
White was called to be an evangelist in 1973. He was a sophomore at Yale University then. He participated in daily prayer meetings. He also joined Bible studies. White and other believers created The Yale Standard. This publication shared stories of Yale’s Christian history.
As students, they preached and sang on campus. They faced opposition. But their efforts touched lives. Alumni later shared how they first heard the Gospel through them. White also assisted with Bible studies at Columbia University. He was involved in weekly meetings at Princeton. His church held open-air outreaches in New York City.
White returned to Yale in 1985. He joined the Yale Christian Fellowship. He also participated in events with Yale Students for Christ. He encouraged believers to work together. He became a member of YCF’s worship team. He preached on and off campus.
After graduating in 1987, White continued campus ministry. From 1995, he became a guest speaker. He was sponsored by various student groups at Columbia University and Yale. In April 1995, he spoke at a university-wide gathering.
White began working directly in evangelism. He held campaigns at Columbia and Yale. He also ministered in churches in New York and Connecticut. He spoke at the Lambs Theatre in Times Square. He participated in open-air Gospel street outreaches. He was the main speaker at Arise New York evangelistic concerts. He speaks on college campuses in the Northeast.
In 2004, Roosevelt Muriel invited White to work as an evangelist in Colombia. Since 2017, White has preached in churches in Cuba. Starting in 2020, he began ministering in southern Asia via Skype. In 2021, he ministered in the Czech Republic.
Chris White’s journey is one of dedication. He retired from teaching to focus on full-time evangelism. He is an ordained minister and a songwriter. He has released several music CDs. He and his wife Pilar have four sons. All his sons are serving the Lord.
