Picture this, a bustling campus filled with students rushing to class. Right here, in the heart of Drexel University, stands the Korman Center. It’s one of the most recognizable buildings on campus. The Korman Center has a rich history. It is actually one of the oldest buildings on Drexel’s campus. It opened in 1959 as Drexel’s main library. The library would later move to the W.W. Hagerty Library in 1983, and the building became Drexel’s data center. The Korman Center may be old, but the inside is new. The Korman Center has been entirely modernized. This multi-story building is a gathering place for students and faculty alike. The Korman Center is now home to the Academic Resources Center. Students can find tutoring help for a variety of subjects including biology, chemistry, math and physics. There are also a variety of study spaces and meeting rooms available for students to use. It’s a hub of activity, not only for students but also for the Drexel community. You can spot students on the outside porch enjoying the sun and exchanging ideas.
