Let me tell you the story of Nh\u00e0 th\u1edd Gi\u00e1o x\u1ee9 B\u00ecnh H\u1ea3i. It is a story of resilience. It is also a story of faith and community.
The origins of Nh\u00e0 th\u1edd Gi\u00e1o x\u1ee9 B\u00ecnh H\u1ea3i can be traced back to the efforts of Father T\u00f4ma B\u00f9i \u0110\u1ee9c. He served from 1958 to 1963. He expanded missionary work to neighboring areas. However the seeds of faith faced challenges. The conflict on November 1 1963 tested the community.
The people witnessed the destruction of their church. Their faith was questioned. In July 1965 the situation worsened. Due to security concerns Father Phaol\u00f4 Hu\u1ef3nh Ng\u1ecdc C\u1ea3nh moved the Trung T\u00edn parishioners to Gi\u00e1o x\u1ee9 Ph\u00fa H\u00f2a. Some then migrated south. A small number remained clinging to their homeland.
In September 1968 the care of B\u00ecnh L\u00e3nh was entrusted to the D\u00f2ng Ch\u00faa C\u1ee9u Th\u1ebf. This community had long-standing traditions. On April 14 1969 the D\u00f2ng Ch\u00faa C\u1ee9u Th\u1ebf was given responsibility for 11 more districts in B\u00ecnh S\u01a1n.
Father Gioan Baotixita Nguy\u1ec5n Th\u1ebf Thi\u1ec7p volunteered in B\u00ecnh H\u1ea3i. He rebuilt the church after it was burned in 1968. He bought land totaling 6800m2 in Ph\u01b0\u1edbc Thi\u1ec7n. He established a school a library farms a football field and vocational training.
By 1969 a temporary church was built. It had a tôn roof and walls. In late 1969 Father Gioan Baotixita Nguy\u1ec5n Th\u1ebf Thi\u1ec7p was assigned to education work. Father Micae Tr\u01b0\u01a1ng V\u0103n H\u00e0nh DCCT took over pastoral duties. He developed other facilities. Th\u1ea7y Giuse Ph\u1ea1m \u0110\u1ee9c Tri\u00eam also assisted.
In 1975 residents returned. They rebuilt their lives. The church was in ruins. The priests could not return. A few people secretly traveled to Ch\u00e2u \u1ed4 for Sunday Mass.
Despite the difficulties the community persevered. They gathered in homes to pray and support each other. This sustained their faith for nearly 20 years.
In 1993 under the guidance of Father Gioan Baotixita Nguy\u1ec5n Th\u1ebf Thi\u1ec7p the community sought to rebuild their place of worship. On February 7 1996 the UBND t\u1ec9nh Qu\u1ea3ng Ng\u00e3i approved the construction of Nh\u00e0 th\u1edd Gi\u00e1o x\u1ee9 B\u00ecnh H\u1ea3i on the old foundation.
On April 21 1996 the church was inaugurated. Every week Father Phaol\u00f4 Nguy\u1ec5n Th\u1ecd celebrated Sunday Mass.
Nh\u00e0 th\u1edd Gi\u00e1o x\u1ee9 B\u00ecnh H\u1ea3i has blossomed. It has produced three religious vocations.
Father Gioakim Nguy\u1ec5n Quang Minh DCCT was appointed. He started building a new church. On October 10 2018 Bishop Mattheu Nguy\u1ec5n V\u0103n Kh\u00f4i elevated Gi\u00e1o h\u1ecd B\u00ecnh H\u1ea3i to Gi\u00e1o x\u1ee9. He appointed Father Gioakim Nguy\u1ec5n Quang Minh DCCT as the first parish priest.
Through hard work and contributions the construction was completed. On September 18 2020 the new church was consecrated. It was dedicated to \u0110\u1ee9c Maria Trinh N\u1eef V\u01b0\u01a1ng.
Today Nh\u00e0 th\u1edd Gi\u00e1o x\u1ee9 B\u00ecnh H\u1ea3i stands. It symbolizes the community’s unwavering faith. It embodies their resilience. It showcases their dedication across generations.
