Chengdu is also a city of gastronomy. It joined the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in 2010. It became a UNESCO City of Gastronomy. Hot pot restaurants are everywhere in Chengdu. It’s a typical part of the local diet.
Sichuan cuisine is famous for its spice. Dishes like spicy hot pot and mapo tofu are popular. They might feel numbing at first. You might quickly fall in love with the flavor.
