From the heart of the bustling city emerged a sanctuary of faith. This is Nghĩa trang Giáo xứ Xuân Trà. It stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of a community. A place of peace and reflection amidst the urban clamor.

Nghĩa trang Giáo xứ Xuân Trà is more than a cemetery. It is a living archive. A chronicle of faith and resilience etched in stone and memory. Its roots trace back to Giáo xứ Trà Cổ in Quảng Ninh. In 1954 a group of parishioners journeyed south. They settled 7 kilometers from Biên Hòa. Their new home was near National Highway 1. Initially part of Giáo xứ Nam Hải the community grew. Eventually it formed its own parish Trà Cổ.

On March 19 1971 Father Giuse Lê Văn Ấn elevated Trà Cổ to parish status. He named it Giáo xứ Trà Cổ II. Father Phaolô Nguyễn Văn Nhận became its first pastor. By the end of 1971 Father Gioan Baotixita Nguyễn Thái Chưởng succeeded Father Phaolô. Father Gioan and the congregation built a church. It measured 16 meters by 45 meters. This provided a space for worship and prayer.

In 1997 Father Phaolô Maria Nguyễn Minh Nhật renamed the parish. It became Nghĩa trang Giáo xứ Xuân Trà. Through the years under various pastors the parish thrived. A new church dedicated to Saint Joseph was built. Father Giuse Nguyễn ữ Định served as pastor from 2010 to 2019. He oversaw improvements to the church and grounds. He also built a new altar. In 2019 Father Giuse Dương Đức Hùng took over pastoral duties.

Today Nghĩa trang Giáo xứ Xuân Trà continues to serve its community. It is a place of worship and spiritual renewal. It is a hub of communal life. The parish is known for its strong sense of community. They work toward unity and love within the parish. The parish encompasses 22 hectares of land.
