Ever wonder what used to stand here before Loharu Tsudanuma? Well let me tell you a story. Loharu Tsudanuma is more than just a shopping center. It is a place with a past.

Loharu Tsudanuma is a commercial complex in Narashino City. It is located in Chiba Prefecture. The building has five floors above ground and one basement floor. It stands on the south side of Tsudanuma Station.

Originally, this spot was occupied by The Block. The Block opened its doors in October 1998. Morisia Tsudanuma also opened across the street. Key tenants back then included Maruzen Tsudanuma and Yuzawaya Tsudanuma. There was also a Yotsuya Academy.

For a long time, the complex belonged to Toyo Engineering. In 2015, it was sold to Goldman Sachs. A large-scale renovation followed. On December 1 2017, it was reborn as Loharu Tsudanuma. During the renovation, Yuzawaya’s cuckoo clock was removed.

Loharu Tsudanuma provides a convenient shopping experience. You can find a variety of shops here. This includes a supermarket and bookstore. There is also a handicraft store. A clinic and fitness center also call Loharu Tsudanuma home.

The name “Tsudanuma” has an interesting origin. It combines characters from three villages. These villages are Yatsu, Kuguta, and Saginuma. Tsudanuma is also known as a commuter suburb of Tokyo. Author Haruki Murakami mentions it in his novels.

Today, Loharu Tsudanuma continues to serve the community. It offers a mix of retail and services. It caters to the daily needs of local residents. It stands as a testament to the area’s dynamic history. It is a place where the past meets the present. So next time you are here, remember its story. Remember the evolution from The Block to Loharu Tsudanuma.
