Ibaraki City Hozumi Elementary School opened its doors in April 1981. It was established after separating from Ibaraki City Harubiyama Elementary School. Ibaraki City Hozumi Elementary School stands as a testament to the community’s dedication to education. In July 1981, the school pool was completed, adding a refreshing dimension to student life. The school song, a melody of youthful dreams and aspirations, was composed in March 1982. A year later, in March 1983, cherry trees were planted. These trees now stand tall, their blossoms a symbol of renewal and growth. Ibaraki City Hozumi Elementary School expanded its embrace in April 1984. A nurturing class was established, providing specialized care and support to students with diverse needs. In February 1992, a computer room was added. This marked the school’s commitment to keeping pace with technological advancements. The school serves the following areas: Matsubara-cho, Shimozumi 1-chome, 2-chome, and 4-chome, Hozumidai, Shimeien, a part of Ueno-cho 1-chome and 2-chome, and Higashi Ueno-cho. Graduating students primarily move on to Ibaraki City Nishigori Junior High School, continuing their educational journey within the city’s supportive embrace.
