This impressive building educates approximately 720 students from kindergarten through eighth grade. Dr. Hani Awadallah School is more than just a school. It’s a vibrant hub of learning for the community. It houses 23 general classrooms four kindergarten classrooms and specialized instruction spaces. There’s even a media center a gymnasium a cafeteria and a community room. Students enjoy access via a pedestrian bridge over the NJ Transit railroad. This ensures safe passage for kids from all areas served by the school. The construction of Dr Hani Awadallah School was a significant undertaking. It involved meticulous planning and collaboration. Earle Asphalt Company handled site preparation. Ernest Bock and Sons Inc. acted as the general contractor. DIGroup Architecture LLC designed the building. STV Construction Inc. managed the project. The project began in October 2012 with site preparation. Building construction started in February 2014. The doors opened to students in September 2016. The total project cost was a substantial $55.2 million. Construction alone cost $35.3 million. The grand opening celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony truly marked a milestone for the Paterson community. Dr Hani Awadallah School is more than just bricks and mortar.
