An expansion project. That’s what first springs to mind when you see Cimitero di Carugate. The Comune di Carugate commissioned it. It cost 300000 euros. Architect Voira designed the expansion. Geom Giuseppe Provenzano was in charge. Geom Giuseppe Palmero directed the technical aspects.

The Cimitero di Carugate isn’t just a place of rest. It’s a testament to community. A reflection of Carugate’s history. It’s more than just graves. It is a vital part of the town’s fabric. Consider its recent expansion. The project wasn’t just about adding space. It was about giving Carugate’s residents a better place to remember their loved ones.

But even larger changes are on the horizon. A new park is planned. It’s funded by the Pnrr. Two and a half million euros will be spent. This park won’t just be green space. It will include a sports area. There will be an athletics track. Multipurpose sports fields are also planned. Even a skate park for local kids. There will also be a playground for younger children. An outdoor music and theater area is planned. Event spaces are also part of the plan. There will be a kiosk bar. A dog park is included in the design. New pedestrian and cycling paths will connect to Via San Francesco. This promises to be a significant transformation.

Imagine this new space. Families gather for picnics. Children play in the sun. The sounds of laughter and music fill the air. Yet just beyond this vibrant area lies the cemetery. A place of quiet reflection and remembrance. A place where the living and the departed are somehow joined together.

This planned park represents more than just an upgrade. It is about the value Carugate places on its community. It’s about providing a space for both recreation and contemplation. A place to honor the past while embracing the future. The Cimitero di Carugate and its surrounding area. It’s a place where life and death intertwine. A place of beauty and peace. A place of enduring memory.
