“Want everyone to experience life at the highest level.” That is the motto of Calvary Assembly of God.

Calvary Assembly of God had a humble start. It began in 1906 with the Christian Missionary Alliance. Early services took place in a tent. Later, members opened their homes for meetings.

That same year, a significant event occurred. The Holy Spirit was poured out in a Los Angeles church on Azusa Street. This Pentecostal experience spread across the nation. It touched nearly every state.

In 1907, Calvary Assembly of God moved to the Wayne Annex Building. Between 1908 and 1910, members experienced speaking in tongues. The Holy Ghost poured out upon the people. The church grew remarkably during this time. It transitioned from the Christian Missionary Alliance. It became an independent Pentecostal assembly.

A special meeting occurred on July 18, 1930. The church officially joined the Assemblies of God. The headquarters were in Springfield, Missouri. The church’s name changed to Calvary Tabernacle.

On January 9, 1957, another name change occurred. To align with the General Council of the Assemblies of God, it became Calvary Assembly of God, Inc. The location at that time was Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.

Over the years, Calvary Assembly of God has been blessed. Anointed pastors and leaders guided the congregation. They were effective in their ministry. Today, the church seeks a fresh outpouring of God’s Spirit. They desire supernatural abundance.

Calvary Assembly of God cherishes its past. It values the rich heritage of faith. This heritage was passed down by forefathers. The church also celebrates its future. It anticipates the next great move of God’s Spirit. This will prepare them for the greatest harvest of souls. They believe the best chapter is yet to be written.

Calvary Assembly of God believes in Jesus Christ. He is the Savior of men. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit. He was born of the Virgin Mary. He is both God and man.

The church is part of the worldwide Body of Christ. It expresses His grace in Savannah.

Calvary Assembly of God believes in God the Father. He loves people and wants to save them. He desires to bring them into His heavenly family. He blesses those who obey His will. He wants people to proclaim His good news.

Calvary Assembly of God worships the Lord in Spirit and truth. They show their love with thanksgiving. They express joy and praise.
